As of today, the procedure is not performed in Israel. The treatments take place in our clinics in France and Switzerland.

What is the difference between the FLAAK method and contact lenses?
Contact lenses temporarily change eye color and require daily, gentle care. They can cause a foreign body sensation and make prolonged use difficult. Low-quality lenses can damage the cornea and prevent the possibility of permanent keratopigmentation, which is considered a safe and irreversible solution.
Is it possible to lose your sight?
As long as the patient follows the instructions and follow-up after the procedure, no cases of blindness have been reported.
The laser procedure is performed on the surface of the cornea and does not damage the function of the eye.
The pigment inserted into the eye is a biological substance that is adapted to the body and does not cause an inflammatory reaction.
In the rare case of a complication, the surgeon will provide the most appropriate treatment guidance.
In conclusion:
The risk level is similar to that of laser vision correction surgery (LASIK), a safe procedure that has been successfully undergone by millions of patients in recent decades.
What are the possible complications?
As with any surgical procedure, zero risk cannot be guaranteed.
Although the complication rate is extremely low thanks to the use of antibiotic eye drops, the main risk is infection.
Therefore, it is important to follow the strict precautionary guidelines – both before and after surgery.
All instructions will be explained to you in detail during the assessment meeting.
The full list of side effects appears on the information page about the keratopigmentation procedure,
Is there any pain during the surgery?
Painless procedure – just like laser eyeglass removal
Similar to laser surgery for vision correction, the keratopigmentation procedure using FLAAK technology is also not accompanied by pain.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia only , using numbing eye drops, which are administered a few seconds before the procedure begins.
Thanks to advanced technology and the skill of the surgeons, most patients report a feeling of complete comfort during all stages of the procedure.
Is everyone suitable for treatment?
Not everyone is suitable for the keratopigmentation procedure.
To ensure that the procedure is safe and effective for you, you must undergo a comprehensive medical suitability examination that includes a series of eye exams and an assessment of the structure of the cornea, overall eye health, and medical history.
Only after the examination can it be accurately determined whether you are a suitable candidate for the procedure.
