In 2020, I received official FMH recognition in eye surgery. Previously, in 2010, I was approved to practice medicine under the health insurance, while in 2008 I was registered with FMH after recognition of degrees in ophthalmology. In addition, in 2007 I received an Inter-University Diploma (DIU) in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery.
In 2004, I completed my medical doctorate and received a residency in ophthalmology, with my thesis on the use of silicone sponges to treat retinal detachment, and I also received a degree in ophthalmology surgery. In 2003, I obtained an Interuniversity Diploma (DIU) in refractive surgery and phacoemulsification, as well as a DIU in contact lens fitting.
Even earlier, in 2000, I successfully passed the internship entrance exam and started a position in surgery at the CHU of Bordeaux. In 1998, I completed a Master’s degree in biochemistry, and in 1997, I obtained another Master’s degree in cell biology. Finally, between 1993 and 2000, I studied at the Faculty of Medicine of Lyon.
The professional path
From 2021 to 2023, I was an independent ophthalmologist and surgeon at HS2A in Geneva. Before that, from 2017 to 2021, I worked as an independent ophthalmologist and surgeon at the Téomera Center in Grand-Saconnex. At the same time, from 2015 to 2023, I founded SELARL Evian Vision, where I served as chief physician and director of a group eye clinic with four branches for medical and surgical activities.
In addition, I was an ophthalmologist-surgeon and co-director at SELARL Ophtalmo-Prévessin, with medical and surgical activities in the Pays de Gex region of France. From 2008 to 2017, I worked as an independent ophthalmologist with FMH training in ophthalmology at the Eye Clinic in Geneva. At the same time, from 2012 to 2017, I served as an independent ophthalmologist and surgeon and partner at the Chantepoulet Eye Clinic in Geneva.

Before that, between May 2004 and November 2004, I was in the ophthalmology department at the Perrigo Hospital under the direction of Dr. Smolik. In addition, between November 2003 and May 2004, I worked in the posterior segment unit under the direction of Prof. Korobelnik, and in the period before that, between May 2003 and November 2003, I worked in the same unit.
Furthermore, between November 2002 and May 2003 I served in the Anterior Segment and Pediatric Ophthalmology Unit with Prof. Cullen, and between May 2002 and November 2002 I was in the Anterior Segment Unit under the supervision of Prof. Rees. Before that, between November 2001 and May 2002 I worked in the Ophthalmology Department at the Libourne Regional Hospital under the leadership of Dr. Lacol. In addition, between May 2001 and November 2001 I served in the Orthopedics Department with Prof. Vital, and finally, between November 2000 and May 2001, I was in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department under Prof. Pinsol.
